Description | Gas Technician 3 (G3) Courses and License: To get started with becoming a Gas Technician, you would begin with Gas Technician 3. You must register for all three courses comprising Gas Technician 3, in three consecutive semesters (total of one academic year), as follows: 1) Gas Technician 3, Part 1 GAST 301 - expected to be offered in Fall (TBD) 2) Gas Technician 3, Part 2 GAST 302 - expected to be offered in Winter (TBD) 3) Gas Technician 3, Part 3 GAST 303 - expected to be offered in Summer (TBD) Each of the above courses requires successful completion of the previous course(s), as a prerequisite. A passing grade of 75 percent is required on all course assessments, for the above 3 courses. Upon completion of the above courses, you must achieve a passing grade of 75 percent or greater on the Certification of Qualification exam for Gas Technician 3 from TSSA (Technical Standards and Safety Authority), in order to obtain your Gas Technician 3 license. The exam is not included in this course. Completion of the Gas Technician (G3) courses does not guarantee that you will pass the Certification of Qualification exam for Gas Technician 3. The Gas Technician 3 (G3) Review and Test GAST 304 course, prepares you to pass the theory portion of the Certificate of Qualification exam. Gas Technician 2 (G2) Courses and License: Once you obtain your Gas Technician 3 license, you are welcome to move on to Gas Technician 2. Gas Technician 2 courses require you to have obtained your Gas Technician 3 license. Gas Technician 2 comprises GAST 201 and GAST 202. You must register for both courses comprising Gas Technician 2, in two consecutive semesters, as follows: 1) Gas Technician 2, Part 1 GAST 201 -(TBD) 2) Gas Technician 2, Part 2 GAST 202 - (TBD) Please check back and register at that time, after you receive a passing grade in the prerequisite course, GAST 201. Note: A passing grade of 75 percent is required on all course assessments. Upon completion of Gas Technician 2 Training (GAST 201 and GAST 202 courses), you must achieve a passing grade of 75 percent or greater on the Certification of Qualification exam for Gas Technician 2 from TSSA (Technical Standards and Safety Authority). The exam is not included in this course. Completion of the Gas Technician (G2) courses does not guarantee that you will pass the Certification of Qualification exam for Gas Technician 2, and obtain your G2 license. Registering for the GAST 304 course, provides the theory examinations for the G3 and G2 Certification of Qualification exams. You can register for this course after the Gas Technician 3 courses, and again, after the Gas Technician 2 courses. |
