|Description||Students are required to complete the 48 hour volunteer Field Placement.
(1) Vulnerable Person Police Check (form available at Community and Health Studies at Progress Rm E2-11 and Morningside Rm 352). Bring a certified cheque or money order
in the amount of $20.00 made out to the TORONTO POLICE SERVICES along with 2 pieces of photo ID (not Health Card).
A clean criminal record and background check is essential for placement.
(2) Complete a pre-clearance health form by physician or nurse practitioner stating that you meet the heath requirements of legislated acts, ministry guidelines and agency policies.
(3) Food Handler Certificate is also required.
(4) Attend mask fit testing provided by Centennial College (shaving of portions of the face may be required to meet safety standards).

After the student has completed all five courses and has the above documentation, they can THEN register for FSWR-106.
Students complete their placement requirements in the semester they register.
The Program Supervisor will contact the student by phone to arrange an appointment to meet to discuss the placement and location of same.
Note: Placement, days of the week, and hours of the day, vary from one agency to another. Student will be consulted on their availability before Placement is arranged.
