Program Name Complex Care in Community Services
Description The Complex Care in Community Services is an intensive three course micro-credential program that provides the opportunity to learn about the complexities of providing intensive service support to those who are defined as the most vulnerable in community services sector, including but not limited those with developmental disabilities, those experiencing mental health issues, dual diagnosis, concurrent disorders, and those who are unhoused, or precariously housed. Building on your current lived experience and education background, this micro credential allows for front line and supervisory staff to enhance and build out practical skills for application in todays ever changing community services workforce.

The students will work in an intensive course structure that includes lectures twice a week, working group assignments and individual competency building assessments and activities.

Upon completion of the program, graduates will have enhanced skills and knowledge to competently deliver intra-professional complex care and service navigation within community services agencies.
Notes This Micro-Credential Certificate is a fully online program that will be running from February 6 - April 21st 2023. There will be synchronous zoom classes on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, and there will be asynchronous learning for students to do at their own pace. The Certificate will be completed in 11 weeks, and is eligible for OSAP (https://www.centennialcollege.ca/financial-aid/osap-information)

Mandatory Courses

The course materials for this certificate are provided through online learning resources. The time needed for this intensive course is 10 hours a week, delivered with two online lectures and interactive classes, group work outside of class hours and asynchronous learning.
