Program Name Payroll Compliance Practitioner
Description Learn the payroll compliance responsibilities that affect organizations. Apply payroll legislation to calculate individual pay, calculate and report government and third party remittances, year end requirements and accounting for payroll at the compliance level of the organization. Graduates will be able to communicate this information effectively with all stakeholders.

The Canadian Payroll Association offers the only payroll certifications in Canada.

The Canadian Payroll Association's PCP certification is the foundation for a successful career in payroll. Certification will help you gain an in-depth understanding of the legislative requirements to keep your organization compliant throughout the annual payroll cycle, and become part of a growing community of highly-engaged professionals.

PCP certification requires three core payroll courses, Introduction to Accounting transfer of credit and one year of weighted related payroll work experience:
1. Payroll Compliance Legislation (PCL)
2. Payroll Fundamentals 1 (PF1)
3. Payroll Fundamentals 2 (PF2)
4. Introduction to Accounting (transfer of credit; offered at post-secondary institutions)
5. PCP Work Experience Requirement Application (WERA) (a minimum of one year work experience in payroll)

For each CPAC course, students must register with the Centennial College and pay the school's registration fee.

They must also register with the Canadian Payroll Association (CPA) for each CPAC course and pay the Association Registration fee to receive their each course materials and access the learning platform. Additionally, Part-time students also need to pay the CPA's Annual Candidate Membership fee.

Students must register with the CPA five business days before the start date of the course.

Admission Requirements Domestic Students must be 19 years of age or older to get in to this program. No other requirements are necessary.
