|Description||This is a part-time, post-diploma graduate certificate program for Early Childhood Educators who want to learn the essential skills required to promote the inclusion of children with special needs in the child-care community. Upon successful completion, graduates will qualify as Resource Teachers and/or Resource Consultants under the Child Care and Early Years Act. Applicants must have an Early Childhood Education Diploma from an Ontario college or a letter of equivalency from the AECEO.|

There are seven academic courses and two supervised field practicums. Courses run consecutively, and a minimum C grade must be maintained in each course to continue within the program. Students must successfully complete Level 1 before moving to Level 2. This program has an intake only for new students in the Fall each year.

Due to the nature of this program, students must provide a recent Police Reference Check prior to each field placement and required courses. A criminal record or charges pending before the courts in regard to crimes against vulnerable populations may determine eligibility for courses and completion of the program.
