Description | The Business Administration - Human Resources program focuses on teaching the full range of human resources functions. Among these are: Human resources planning Recruitment and selection Training and development Compensation Performance management Human resources management systems Human resources, as a strategic partner, guarantees an organization has the best pool of talent to pioneer, compete and be at the top of its industry. Through Centennial College's Human Resources program, you learn how to enable a proactive perspective and, as a result, become adept at ensuring organizational success through the attraction, retention and development of any company's most vital asset -- its employees. You also explore trends to prepare for the challenges of today and tomorrow's work environment. Lastly, you complement your development of human resources skills with highly marketable payroll knowledge. This unique School of Business program offers you the opportunity to acquire three designations: CHRP™ designation from the Human Resources Professionals Association CIM™ designation from the Canadian Institute of Management PCP™ designation from the Canadian Payroll Association For more information on these designations, please contact the Association that grants the designation directly. |
Admission Requirements | Domestic Students must be 19 years of age or older to get in to this program. No other requirements are necessary. International Students should contact our International Office via email at international@centennialcollege.ca for eligibility. |
Info | Students will be placed in the appropriate English level based on skills assessment results. Students who complete the English Assessment Test and score 170/171 (College Communications 2 /(ESL) or higher, are exempt from COMM160/161 (College Communications 1/(ESL)). If you score 160 or 161, then you must complete COMM 160/161 before you can proceed to COMM170/171. MATH128 prepares students for MATH119, which is a required course for most School of Business Diploma programs. Applicants who test between 21/45 and 35/45 in the MATH Assessment test will be exempted from MATH128, and will take MATH118. Students who score 36/45 or higher will be exempted from MATH128 and MATH118 and will take MATH119. |
Notes | A minimum C grade average and a minimum GPA of 2.0 is required for graduation. |
