| Description | This course enables you to broaden your understanding of real-world applications of mathematics. You will analyse data using statistical methods; solve problems involving applications of geometry and trigonometry; solve financial problems connected with annuities, budgets, and renting or owning accommodation; simplify expressions; and solve equations. You will reason mathematically and communicate your thinking as you solve multi-step problems. This course prepares you for college programs in areas such as business, health sciences, and human services, and for certain skilled trades. | Notes | This is an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) level course, designed for learners who need to take or re-take select high school courses in order to seek admission to post-secondary programming. This course is delivered fully online and asynchronously, which mean you can log into your course at any time, day or night that works for your schedule. However, there is a defined start and end date, and a critical path that you must adhere to in order to meet tests and assignments deadlines.
