Working in small groups with immediate feedback. Online introductory session. Day 1: Orientation session via Zoom Day 2: 3-hour half-day in-person session, 2 pm - 5 pm Day 3: 6-hour full-day in-person session, 9 am - 4 pm (includes a 1-hour break for lunch) WHO SHOULD ENROLL - Young working professionals. - Recent graduates looking for opportunities in a global work environment. NOTE: the workshop is for South Korea-based learners, who are willing to develop their knowledge about global workplace culture. WORKSHOP PROGRAM DAY ONE Understanding Global Workplace Culture: Learn to navigate the complexities of the modern international office, including diverse work styles, cultural expectations and communication practices. Through engaging role play and interactive exercises, you will develop the cultural awareness and practical knowledge needed for success in a global setting Learn to: - Successfully navigate International workplace culture - Communicate effectively in a multicultural setting - Participate and collaborate with confidence DAY TWO Writing for Business Professionals: Master the art of clear and concise communication. This session breaks down the writing process with a step-by-step approach, providing a solid foundation for effective communication in any workplace. Learn to convey your ideas with simplicity and precision to an international business audience. Learn to: - Demystify and simplify the writing process - Convey ideas in clear, concise language - Create impact and reader engagement Presentation Essentials: Gain hands-on experience in crafting and delivering powerful presentations. This part of the workshop covers key elements such as structure, narrative development, integration of text and images and the secrets of effective delivery. Through practical exercises and a capstone project, you will refine your presentation skills and learn to engage any audience. Learn to: - Structure presentations for clarity, impact and engagement - Turn a presentation into a compelling story - Deliver a presentation to diverse stakeholders FACILITATOR Donald Macintyre is the co-founder of Orbis Leadership. As a communications professional and former Time magazine bureau chief for Korea, Donald has worked in Europe and Asia for over 25 years. He led communication teams at major banks in Japan and Singapore and was the global head of communications for Standard Chartered's retail banking business. In an earlier career in journalism, Donald worked for Bloomberg and Time magazine in Tokyo before becoming Time's bureau chief for Korea. As an experienced facilitator, he has run workshops at major companies in North America, Europe, and the Middle East. He was recently invited to give a workshop on leadership communication at Stanford University to visiting university students from Korea.
