Description | The ENGR-300 course focuses on energy auditing of residential and small commercial buildings. It is designed to provide training on the principles, tools and procedures of energy auditing. This course would also cover energy saving techniques while providing comfort in an indoor environment and how to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. In this course, you will learn: • Current legislations, codes and available incentive initiatives. • How to audit (measure, assess, evaluate and analyze) energy performance of a system or a process or a facility based on professional protocols and standards such as ASHRAE, ISO, IPMVP • How to use energy auditing instruments to measure electrical and thermal systems • How to save or optimize energy use • How to identify and compare relevant energy conservation measures and energy efficiency opportunities • How to prepare an energy audit report including recommendations and financial feasibility study |
