Description | As educators, our goal in curriculum development is to promote interdependent and self-directed learning. With a focus on Reggio Emilia principles, you will have the opportunity to gain knowledge and skills in using a collaborative approach involving children, teachers, family and community in the process of creating an emergent curriculum. Student's will have the opportunity to facilitate children's experiences through project work by encouraging inquiry and engagement while supporting the children's in-depth investigations of meaningful topics worthy of exploration. Using observation, you will identify children's cues and have the opportunity to design and implement projects which respond to the interests of small groups of children and facilitate their understanding of the world. Prerequisite: Semester 1 Foundation Studies Unit, Semester2 |
