Description | The purpose of this advanced course is to teach students how to establish a positive therapeutic rapport and counselling relationship with children, youth and adults. Students will develop a wide range of clinical practice skills that are based on the unique needs of the children, youth, and adults whom Child and Youth Care Practitioners will be exposed to in the helping field. This course will focus on the theory along with the advanced practical aspects of counselling. Students will develop their knowledge and skills in self-awareness, self-determination, diversity, and advanced interviewing techniques through experiential learning, reflective practice, collaborative learning & critical thinking. |
