Description | Oracle Database Administration Fundamentals 2 introduces you, the Oracle database administrator (DBA), to additional database administrative tasks. The course builds on the Oracle database concepts and basic administration you learned in Oracle Database Administration Fundamentals 1. You will refresh your conceptual understanding of the Oracle database architecture and how the architectural structures work and interact with one another. You will also learn database backup and recovery through various recovery scenarios. Additional topics include efficient use of memory and tuning a database as well as Flashback Technologies and scheduling of jobs within and outside a database. The instructor-led lessons in this course are reinforced with structured hands-on practice. This approach ensure you know how to: • Understand Oracle backup and recovery concepts; • Successfully recover a database in different recovery scenarios; • Diagnose and repair failures with Oracle Flashback Technologies; • Automate DBA tasks with scheduler; • Optimize space usage in a database; • Manage memory efficiently and tune a database; • Duplicate a database. |
