|Description||Project Procurement is a course that will teach you how to manage the procurement aspects of projects. It will cover the spectrum of procurement, from both the customer and provider's viewpoints.
The course topics included in this offering will be consistent with the PMI Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) and its six related processes. As such, you will learn about planning the procurement process, developing material specification, supplier selection, competitive bidding, price negotiation, teaming arrangements and subcontractor management. You will also examine selecting the proper contract type, and learn to explain the strengths and weaknesses of all possible contract approaches. Lastly, managing procurement risks will be given in-depth treatment, as will related legal aspects of project procurement.
The Project Procurement course will give you the know-how to:
•Explain the process of project procurement management;
•Develop a project procurement plan;
•Identify criteria of the bidder selection, and evaluation;
•Describe contract types and negotiation strategies;
•Explain the importance of inventory management and cost of material transportation;
•Describe the contract closure procedure.
