|Description||Legal Documentation will teach you just how different this type of documentation is from standard documentation through training in Microsoft Word functions and application in the production of legal correspondence and legal documents in a computerized law office environment.
Hands-on training will be a key component of the undertaking as you learn how to prepare file opening documentation, legal correspondence, memorandum of law, affidavits, releases, agreements and civil litigation documentation on computers in a networked computer environment. Emphasized during practical application exercises will be accuracy and formatting required for the proper completion of legal documentation
You will be required to have a minimum keyboarding speed of 30 words per minute in order to be successful in this course.
Once you complete Legal Documentation you will have the ability to:
•Prepare legal correspondence, memoranda of law, basic legal and civil litigation documents, using word processing and legal office specific software, and appropriate precedents in a computer-networked environment;
•Apply proofreading, editing, grammar and spelling skills;
•Apply critical thinking skills in the production of neat and accurate legal documents and correspondence;
•Organize and maintain legal client files in a professional manner.
