| Description | This course offers RNs and RPNs an opportunity to build upon and update theoretical knowledge of IV therapy. Topics include review of circulatory system, IV complications, administration of IV medications, complications of IV medication and continuing care of patient with an IV, TPN chemotherapy, shock and shock management, blood and blood component therapy and central lines. The content related to IV insertion has been included in this course with practice in the laboratory. |
