Description This course will give students the knowledge and tools require to navigate hybrid drive vehicle safely. Through theory and hands on practice, students will gain the necessary skills to work on and around hybrid drive vehicle. Students will learn about safe working practices, both for technicians/apprentices carrying out repairs and for others who are in the vicinity of these vehicle been repaired. Students will learn about the required personal protections and tooling require to work on hybrid vehicle along with the opportunity to practice using the said PPE and tools. High voltage disconnects and high voltage components will be discussed, defined and explain. Because this is the first of a series of course on hybrid drive buses, students will be privy to an in-depth overview of the deferent type of hybrid vehicle, knowledge that will be built on with future courses
