Description	Examine the complex factors and conditions that contribute to various forms of abusive situations within the family. The cyclical and transactive nature of violence within partner relationships and the resulting impact on the child will be addressed. Explore the various professional roles with respect to prevention and intervention, current community response initiatives, and family, methods of helping individuals develop conflict resolution skills for replacing dysfunctional patterns.
