Description Reflexology is a holistic healing art which, naturally and without drugs, stimulates every part, gland and organ in the body. By applying pressure to the reflexes in the feet and hands, tension is released, circulation is improved, and the body is assisted in regaining its state of harmony and balance. Upon completion, you will be able to perform a full Foot Reflexology treatment. The history of Reflexology and its relevance in our modern day lives will be discussed. Once the lecture weeks are completed, students must complete 50, 1 hour practice sessions before writing the final exam. 15 in-class practice sessions will be completed with supervision, as part of the sessions required to be certified. The exam is 2 hours written and 1 hour practical. The minimum grade to pass this course is 80% (grade of A). Upon successful completion of the course, students are are eligible to apply for membership with the Reflexology Registration Council of Ontario (RRCO). RRCO will require an official transcript of your final grade and a copy of your certificate from Centennial College.

Notes ***PLEASE NOTE***

Required Textbook: The Complete Guide to Foot Reflexology (Third Edition) by Barbara and Kevin Kunz

A Foot Reflexology Chart is also required.

Students are required to bring 2 hand towels, cotton pads and witch hazel (can be found in drugstores) for practical reflexology sessions.
