| Description | This course will provide students with essential skills to effectively communicate with others including clients, families and members of the healthcare team. Topics such as effective communication through verbal and nonverbal communication, electronic and written communication will be practiced here. The use of simulation, role playing and case studies will be employed as some of the instructional strategies used to examine and develop skills in therapeutic communication and conflict resolution. Online technology and in class activities will also be used to promote the use of technology, team collaboration and critical thinking skills. |
