Description | This course offers students the application-based instruction that breaks down teaching methodologies and pedagogies related to program development. Students will learn about pedagogical structure and processes along with lesson/workshop plan development and the use of assistive technologies, and methodologies for creating full programs over various durations and for various groups. This course also develops leadership and facilitation skills, introduces collaborative group dynamics, examines learning styles, and addresses class or group management techniques. Students will be given the opportunity to design a workshop program that meets specific granting criteria, as well as the needs of a particular group. Students will also be able to peer-test their work through an in-class practicum. |
