| Description | In this course, students will learn a specialized approach to case management, with a focus on key strategies of screening, assessment and referral in the addiction field. Through case analysis and challenging case scenarios, students will develop substance use treatment plan strategies, utilizing strengths-based, recovery-oriented and individualized care plans. A focus on crisis support/interventions and concurrent disorders in the addictions case management process will be given. This course has been approved for study credit by the Canadian Addiction Counsellors Certification Federation (CACCF).
