Proctor Information and Guidelines

Test Centre Rules:

  • Test takers must verify their identification with a picture ID issued by a province or federal agency (ie. Driver's license, passport, military ID). If the applicant fails to provide proper identification, DO NOT administer the Skills Assessment. Please contact the College for further instructions.
  • Relax! ACCUPLACER was designed to help you succeed in college. Your score helps you and your advisor determine which courses are most appropriate for your current level of knowledge and skills.
  • Pay careful attention to directions, as you may not go back to change an answer once it has been submitted.
  • No talking to other test takers. Please direct all your questions to your proctor.
  • Turn off all cellphones and/or other electronic devices. Students must not have access to a cellphone when the exam is in progress.
  • No food, drink, text books or other papers.
  • Students are not permitted to access other websites, word processors, translators or electronic dictionaries.
  • Please leave all test materials, including scratch paper, in the testing room.
  • Proctors DO NOT have the right to determine special accommodations for self identified learning or medical disabled applicants. The applicant must provide documentation to the Centre for Students with Disabilities at (416) 289-5000 ext. 2627.

It is understood that the Skills Assessment will be conducted and are subjected to the Student Code of Conduct and Academic Honesty and Plagiarism policies. The College has the right to enforce compliance with such prescribed standards through appropriate sanctions or action. Inappropriate behaviour for the policies includes: non-return of borrowed college property, damage to property, honesty and good order. Inappropriate behaviour for the Academic Honesty policy includes: cheating, plagiarism, fabrication, misrepresentation, and fraudulent behaviour. Non-compliance in these policies may result in: a delay of admission, a withdrawal of an Offer of Admission or suspension or expulsion.
