Women, Gender and Pop Culture GNED-213
||Women, Gender and Pop Culture
||This introductory women's studies course examines women's issues, experiences, and rights from multiple perspectives. While the course provides a historical overview of Western women's movements, this approach is balanced by a solid grounding in women's actions and struggles around the world. Taking a global focus then, the course explores the forms of gender bias that women are exposed to and experience in relation to work, the family, legal and social policies, relationships, media, reproduction, violence, and society in the broader global context.
