|Description||This course is for Developmental Service Worker professionals who want to better understand Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), its history, the basic principles and the practical applications of theories within the Developmental Services field. Students will be introduced to basic terminology that will provide a framework for understanding that all behaviour serves a function. This course will support DSW professions to apply evidence based strategies, to better support individuals at home or in the community. Course work includes pre-reading, practical hands-on activities, demonstration and application exercises to evaluate student learning.
Please note: This course will not qualify participants as a behavioural analyst, or as a board certified behaviour analyst, nor to act a consultant.
Admission requirements: students must have successfully graduated from a Developmental Service Worker Diploma Program or is a working professional in the Developmental Services field to enrol in this course.
