Description | Designed with the beginner in mind, students will learn the basics of programming in G-Code. Learners will manually program, setup, and operate Computer Numerical Control (CNC) lathe equipment. Instruction will be given in machine axis motion, operation of control panels, machine start up, and common operations. Topics include program formats, editing, machine function control, and program verification. During the course, students will manufacture simple parts using CNC lathe equipment. Parts created during the course will be used in instructing basic level quality control procedures. |
