|Course Name||Industrial PLC 1 - Allen Bradley|
|Category||Engineering Technology & Applied Science|
|Description||The first course in a five-course program, Industrial PLC 1 - Allen Bradley serves as an introduction to the fundamentals of the Allen Bradley SLC-503 Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) basic instruction set.
The Allen-Bradley SLC 5/03 hardware and the Rockwell Automation software RSLogix 500 is studied in depth as you learn simple programming concepts that you will test using pre-assembled automation cells.
Topics included in the Industrial PLC 1 course are: relays, timers and counters, branching and latching instructions, comparison instructions, subroutines and more. During the course, you will use the AB PLC Logix window software.
Once you complete the offering, through lectures, solving problems and in-class assignments, you will:
• Have a good understanding of the hardware components of the Allen-Bradley SLC 5/03, the software used to develop and program PLCs;
• Comprehend the basic instruction set of the Allen-Bradley SLC 5/03;
• Be able to program the PLC to control simple machinery.
