|Description||Data Warehouses & Integration Services will offer you the theoretical and practical knowledge to create a data warehouse with SQL Server 2012 and implement ETL (extract, transform and load) with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
Assignments, which will make up 60 per cent of your final grade, will be essential as you learn about: Star and Snowflake schemas, granularity and auditing needs, SSIS packages, designing and implementing control flow, enhancing control flow by creating a data flow task, a data flow source adapter, a data flow destination adapter; and more.
In addition to in-class assignments, lectures and other such learning tools, you will take a final exam that will account for 40 per cent of your final grade.
While serving as preparation for exam 70-463 (Implementing a Data Warehouse with Microsoft SQL Server 2012), this Data Warehouses and Integration Services course will also see you gain the ability to:
• Design and implement a data warehouse;
• Extract and transform data;
• Load data;
• Configure and deploy SSIS solutions.
