Description This program is comprised of nine courses that include both theory and computer applications. You should have access to and familiarity with computers. If you achieve a grade of 65% (C+) or higher in each course, you may also qualify for exemption with the Canadian Institute of Bookkeeping (CIB), leading to a career as a professional bookkeeper. (Please note certain exemptions may be subject to time limits.) CIB is a national, non-profit organization dedicated to preparing professionals for greater financial and job security as certified bookkeepers.

Before qualifying for certification, students must have three years of practical bookkeeping experience where they have demonstrated the knowledge acquired in the academic program.
